Parents & Carers

Supporting The Heart of The Home:
I am passionate about supporting families that are experiencing difficulties.
I have a particular interest in supporting Parents, Adoptive Parents and Foster Carers who are caring for children and young people from disadvantaged and/or challenging backgrounds, who have had traumatic experiences (Adverse Childhood Experiences - ACEs)

I can offer 1:1 support and small tailored group workshops for adults.

n.b: I do not work with specific issues surrounding Adoption (such as contact/reunion and birth stories) and recommend that anyone struggling with this contact their Local Authority Adoption and Post Adoption Support Team where help is available and is your right to access by law.

Trauma, PTSD & C-PTSD

1:1 Support for Recovery:
If you have experienced a traumatic event, multiple events or chronic/childhood exposure to extreme stress and are effected by symptoms that leave you distressed and/or unable to live your life fully, with joy, confidence and autonomy, I can help.

If you are living in challenging circumstances caring for someone who has Trauma, PTSD/C-PTSD, I can support you to mitigate against compassion fatigue/burn-out/secondary trauma.

I offer a non-judgemental, confidential space within which to contain, reflect and process your life experiences.

Together we can  restore wellbeing and create an internal sense of safety from which you can live your new life.

Supporting Transition:
I am now working with the Dare To Live Trust to deliver workshops and programmes for vulnerable young people. In 2020/2021 our focus will be on providing support and education for their parent/carers and the professionals that work with them, as part of a systemic, trauma-informed, approach for sustainable positive change.
In line with developing events due to CV19 we will also be expanding our delivery for First Responders, NHS and Social Care providers.
